  Pros • Good location • Good views • Maintenance is good • Garage parking • Quiet, well-insulated apartments • Relatively safe, though I did have a bike locked up in the garage stolen • Fair prices for living downtown, although this is quickly changing because my rent went up 4% this year Cons • Building has central air that is shut off for 1-3 weeks, twice a year to “switch over” resulting in your apartment being either too hot or too cold • The AC is not strong enough to make your apartment cool in the summer, you’ll often have to go without a blanket on hot summer nights • Pool is small, located on a large, boring concrete patio, and only open 14 weeks a year • No washer/dryer in unit • Smaller units do not have dishwashers • Kitchens are tiny with very little counter space

  I lived there in 2009- 2010 when I was stationed at the old Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I came home one day from work and my apartment had been robbed of all electronics and my Citadel ring. Several other apartments had been robbed while residents were at work. There was strong suspicion that it was an inside job from employees who monitored the residents coming and going. I don't know if they ever caught the thief/thieves. I never got a call back from Montgomery County police if any items were recovered. Doubt they were. All I wanted back was my Citadel ring. The thief/thieves have no idea how hard I worked for that band of gold only for it to be stolen out of my own apartment. Unbelievable.
